Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance on the red carpet of the Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Concert Film premiere in Los Angeles. She posed for photos with her Eras Tour dancers and supporters on the red carpet. She appeared at the event in a beautiful strapless blue gown. Right before the Premiere began, Taylor posted on Instagram, can’t thank you enough for wanting to see this film that so vividly captures my favorite adventure I’ve ever been a part of: The Eras Tour. She added, And the best part is, it is an adventure we are still on together.
Bringing The Premier Day Forward
She also said that the unprecedented fan demand pressed her to bring forward the release date of the movie by one day. The premiere was held at The Grove Shopping Complex multi-screen AMC movie theater. Swift’s highly-demanded concert movie comes right after her Eras Tour. It covers over 20 cities and expects to gross over $1 billion. She going international with the tour starting in Argentina on November 9th.
This movie is directed by Sam Wrench. It was filmed over three nights during Taylor’s six-night residency at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles in August. The movie crushed single-day ticket sales less than three hours after the ticket sales opened. The Movie distributor, AMC added extra showtimes where possible to meet the demand.
The movie expects to collect between $100 million to $125 million in ticket sales in its opening weekend. It will screen on IMAX. Standard screens in AMC, Cinemark, and Regal theaters in the US and more than 100 countries worldwide from October 13th. Tickets for the newly announced bonus screenings of Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour Concert Film will become available by 10 a.m. on Thursday.
