In 2021, he became a part of the action thriller movie Hard Hit. In 2022, he was cast in the main role of the TV series, If You Wish Upon Me alongside Sung Dong-il, and Choi Soo-young. The actor took part in another new TV series called ‘Welcome to Samdal-ri‘ in 2023, where he plays the main role with Shin Hye-sun.

Why should all men in South Korea serve in the Military?

Conscription, under the Constitution of South Korea, states that it is mandatory for all male citizens between the ages of 18 and 35 years to serve in the Military. The duration of the service differs according to the military branch they serve. Usually, Active soldiers serve for a period of 18 months, Navy soldiers for 20 months, and Air Force soldiers for 21 months

Male citizens between the above age range go through an ‘Impairment and Disability evaluation’ before enlisting in the “first citizen service” mandate.
