Will Smith Responds to Jada Pinkett Smith’s Confessions On Their Marriage!

Will Smith has finally responded to their wife Jada Pinkett Smith’s controversial statement about their relationship. Not just that. He also weighed in on the Chris Rock rumors in her upcoming memoir, “Worthy.” The memoir comes out on October 17th. Read on to find out what he had to say about their turbulent relationship.

In an email, Will Smith wrote that what his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith has written about their marriage in her memoir “woke him up.” He said that it was only then that he realized that “she had lived a life more on the edge” and that “she is more resilient, clever, and compassionate” than he had given her credit for. 

“When you’ve been with someone for more than half your life, a sort of emotional blindness sets in, and you can all too easily lose your sensitivity to their hidden nuances and subtle beauties.”

Jada Pinkett Smith is currently out on a press tour for her autobiography. While on the press tour, she revealed some interesting facts from her memoir. She shocked fans with her revelation. According to her, they had been separated for six years before the viral “Oscars slap” incident even happened. Smith slapped comedian Chris Rock at the 2022 Academy Awards after Rock made a joke about Pinkett Smith’s shaved head.

Speaking of Jada’s memoir, Will said that the book helped him understand her journey and the challenges she has faced. Pinkett Smith also revealed that they have been separated since 2016. She also had not signed a prenuptial agreement when they married in 1997, because they never saw divorce as an option. Smith said that the memoir opened his eyes, and helped him understand his wife and her journey better.
