What happened in America’s Got Talent?

Audition

Richard Goodall’s audition on AGT season 19 was nothing short of magical. He was nervous at first but determined. He introduced himself to judges Simon Cowell, Sofía Vergara, Heidi Klum, and Howie Mandel. As he began his singing performance of “Don’t Stop Believin’,” the audience’s started to scream. His voice was so great and everyone stood up and cheered and enjoyed his song.

His performance left both the audience and the judges stunned. Every judge praised her performance. It was Heidi Klum who appreciated him the most saying “Richard, Richard, Richard, you knocked me off my feet,” she said. “I mean we all had the best time with you up on that stage. I really feel something with you up there and I hear you up there and now, this is what I’m going to do for you, because I love you.” before pressing the Golden Buzzer.

Goodall performed Michael Bolton’s “How Am I Supposed to Live Without You” during the Quarter-finals, dedicating the song to his fiancée, who was in the audience for this performance.

Heidi Klum, who gave him the Golden Buzzer, expressed her deep admiration, saying, “I just have a really soft spot for you in my heart.”

Simon Cowell described Goodall as “one of the most memorable contestants we’ve had for a long, long time.”

Although Simon mentioned he might have chosen a different song, he acknowledged that Goodall “nailed it.” Simon also added, “If you make it through, you really do have a shot at winning this whole competition.”

All four judges, including Howie Mandel and Sofia Vergara, gave Goodall standing ovations. However, after the 1st quarter final. Goodall got selected to the semi finals.
