He performed a great magic performance at his audition and got four yeses from the judges. O’Connor demonstrated several magic feats as he talked about how becoming passionate about magic helped his confidence as an autistic person. He then had Simon choose Jelly Beans from a list of his favorite candies before having Simon receive a gift containing jelly beans. Simon could correctly estimate the number of jelly beans in the jar. At the end of his performance, O’Connor asked Simon to select a card from a deck that was face down; it turned out to be the 7 of Diamonds that Simon had selected earlier. Alesha said, “I love everything about it“, and Simon said, “That freaked me out. There is something incredible about you“.
