A horrific tragedy struck Grand Blanc, Michigan, on Sunday when a man drove his car through the front doors of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, opened fire, and set the building ablaze. Four people lost their lives, and eight others were injured in what President Trump has called a ‘targeted attack on Christians.’ The suspect was killed during a gunfire exchange with authorities.
The incident occurred during a Sunday worship service, with hundreds in attendance, about 60 miles northwest of Detroit.
‘This appears to be yet another targeted attack on Christians in the United States of America,’ Trump posted on Truth Social.
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer also expressed her grief, stating on social media that her ‘heart aches for the victims and families affected by this senseless act of violence.’
