They held their childhood photos up in a solemn room, and spoke of abuse in their early teens. Survivors of Jeffrey Epstein’s trafficking network are now making a public plea for justice.
The press-pledge
On Sunday, women who say they were abused by Epstein shared powerful testimonies. They urged lawmakers to unseal around 1,000 unidentified victim names. This plea coincides with a planned House vote this Tuesday on the Epstein Files Transparency Act (H.R. 4405). The bill would force the Department of Justice (DOJ) to release all unclassified documents tied to Epstein’s case and his associate Ghislaine Maxwell.
What the bill demands
The legislation was introduced in July 2025 by Reps. Ro Khanna (D-CA) and Thomas Massie (R-KY)Under the bill, the DOJ would publish in searchable format all unclassified records tied to Epstein and Maxwell including: flight logs, travel records, names of individuals tied to the investigation, internal communications and documentation around Epstein’s death. The bill allows withholding of victim-identifiable data and materials that jeopardize ongoing investigations.
