This Haunting Final Call of A Woman from South Tower As it Collapsed On 9/11 Will Leave You In Tears!

On September 11, 2001, the world watched in horror as tragedy unfolded at the World Trade Center. Among those trapped was 32-year-old Melissa Doi. Melissa was a senior manager at IQ Financial Systems, finding herself on the 83rd floor of the South Tower when chaos erupted.

She had been in the building as American Airlines Flight 11 crashed into the North Tower, initially thinking it was a bomb explosion. After making her way down to the 44th floor, she was instructed to go back up to the 78th-floor sky lobby. Unbeknownst to her, United Airlines Flight 175 was moments away from striking their tower.

The world witnessed a horrific turn of events as the South Tower was hit and began its descent into chaos. At 9:17 a.m., Melissa made a heart-wrenching call to 911 from the 83rd floor, desperately seeking guidance and hope.

‘Can you stay on the line with me, please? I feel like I’m dying.’

The fear in her voice was palpable as she declared.

The dispatcher, calming and composed, tried to reassure Melissa, telling her to breathe and pray. Despite the reassurance, Melissa’s dread was overwhelming, and she expressed her concerns over the heat and smoke. Near the call’s end, Melissa gave the dispatcher her mother’s name and phone number, hoping to leave a final message.

“Tell her…that she was the best mother a person could have, and that I love her with all my heart and soul, and that I’ll see her in the next world.”

After 24+12 minutes, the call cut off. At 9:59 a.m., the floors directly below Doi buckled. The South Tower collapsed.

This call, one that lasted a mere 24 minutes, is an eternal testament to Melissa Doi’s courage amidst calamity.
