For years, 68-year-old Gerard McAliece from Scotland couldn’t kiss his wife Carol due to rhinophyma, a rare condition causing his nose to swell massively and turn bulbous. ‘My nose kept growing and growing – I tried to ignore it as much as I could,’ he shared, leading to years of isolation.
