The protestors, fueled by frustration and desperation, were seen chanting ‘Hamas out, ‘ a rare and risky public opposition in a region heavily influenced by the group. This demonstration marked a significant shift, as Hamas has maintained control over Gaza since 2007, with few open challenges to its leadership.
