A woman in Thailand astonished temple staff by moving inside her coffin just before her scheduled cremation. The baffling event unfolded at Wat Rat Prakhong Tham, a Buddhist temple near Bangkok, when a 65-year-old woman, previously thought deceased, began to move, causing immediate confusion.
The woman’s brother transported her 300 miles from Phitsanulok after she appeared unresponsive for days. He initially aimed to fulfill her organ donation wish but was refused by the hospital due to lack of a death certificate.
“I was a bit surprised, so I asked them to open the coffin, and everyone was startled,” revealed Pairat Soodthoop, a temple manager.
The incident left the community and social media buzzing, with many praising the temple’s quick response. The abbot even committed to covering her medical expenses.
