A heartbreaking story has emerged from the Air India crash that killed over 230 people—among the victims was an entire family from Banswara, Rajasthan, who were just days away from starting a new life in London.
Dr. Pratik Joshi, who had recently resigned from his job in Rajasthan to reunite with his family abroad, lost his wife and three young children in the tragic crash. Joshi, a software professional living in London for the past six years, had long dreamed of bringing his family over to begin a new chapter together. That dream came to an end in flames.
Out of the 10 confirmed fatalities from Rajasthan, five belonged to Joshi’s family, leaving the community of Banswara in deep mourning.
The Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, headed for Gatwick, crashed shortly after takeoff from Ahmedabad, carrying 242 people onboard. The cause is still under investigation.
