The search for a missing Texas teen has now expanded into Mexico, as authorities grow increasingly concerned about her safety days after she disappeared on Christmas Eve.
Camila Mendoza Olmos, 19, was last seen early on Dec. 24 outside her home in Bexar County, near San Antonio. She has not been heard from since.
Mexico Issues Missing Person Alert
On Sunday, the Nuevo León Attorney General’s Office issued a missing person report for Mendoza Olmos. Officials said the alert was issued out of concern that she may have crossed the U.S.-Mexico border.
In a public statement, the office described Camila as Mexican, with light brown wavy hair, fair skin, and light brown eyes. She is approximately 1.63 meters tall with a slim build.
Authorities said she was last known to be wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black leggings, and white tennis shoes.
Last Seen on Security Video
Security footage from the morning of Dec. 24 shows Mendoza Olmos leaving her home just before 7 a.m. She is seen walking to her car, parked outside the house.
In the video, she appears to search inside the vehicle for something before closing the door and walking away. She never returned.
Family members told police she left with only her car keys and driver’s license. Her cellphone was later found on her bed.
Investigators believe she left the area on foot.
No Scenario Ruled Out
Since her disappearance, authorities say there have been no confirmed leads. Local law enforcement is working closely with the FBI and the Department of Homeland Security to determine whether she crossed the border.
According to the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, no possibilities have been ruled out. Investigators are considering kidnapping, human trafficking, or the chance that she left on her own.
Bexar County Sheriff Javier Salazar told ABC News that the investigation may extend beyond the United States.

“We definitely don’t want to miss anything,” Salazar said. “We’re also not ruling out that this case may take us outside the borders of the continental United States.”
Authorities Address ICE Concerns
Salazar also confirmed that Mendoza Olmos is not being held by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
“That was a personal concern,” he said. “I had it checked to make sure there were no stops and no detentions.”
Officials emphasized that Mendoza Olmos is not in any federal detention facility.
Breakup Not Considered Suspicious
Investigators confirmed that the teen had recently gone through a romantic breakup. However, authorities described it as amicable and said they do not believe her former partner is involved.
Police say everyone close to Mendoza Olmos has been cooperative with the investigation.
Community-Led Search Effort
More than 100 volunteers, including family and friends, have taken part in ground searches near her home in northwest Bexar County.
Search teams used tracking dogs and organized search parties covering several square miles around the area where she was last seen.
Despite those efforts, authorities say they have not found any evidence pointing to her current location.
