Qatar’s Defense Ministry announced that its air defense systems successfully intercepted a missile attack aimed at the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base, averting any casualties or damages.
The Qatari Foreign Minister condemned the missile strike, identifying it as an Iranian attack and labeling it a “flagrant violation” of Qatar’s sovereignty, airspace, international law, and the United Nations Charter.
In a statement, officials confirmed the base had been evacuated prior to the strike as part of established security protocols. As a result, no injuries or human losses were reported.
The incident has escalated tensions in the Gulf region, where Al Udeid serves as a major hub for U.S. military operations in the Middle East.
