In April 2012, in the city of Resistencia, Argentina, a premature baby girl, born at just six months, was pronounced stillborn. She had no signs of life at birth. Doctors issued a death certificate, placed her in a coffin, and moved her to the morgue. But 12 hours later, when her parents insisted on seeing her body one last time, they opened the coffin—and found their baby breathing.
