A 24-year-old illegal immigrant, Keycy Robinson Alexi Barrera-Rosa, has been charged with the murder of his girlfriend, 23-year-old Lesbia Mileth Ramirez Guerra, in Maryland. Her body was discovered buried in a wooded area near Cedarville State Forest on April 17, after being reported missing on March 31.
According to the Charles County Sheriff’s Office, Barrera-Rosa and his uncle, Rolvin Eduardo Barrera-Barrera, were arrested in connection with the crime. Both men are originally from Guatemala and had previously been apprehended by U.S. authorities near El Paso, Texas, in 2019. They were issued notices to appear before an immigration judge but remained in the country.
Guerra, a mother of two, was found buried in a shallow grave. ICE officials noted that Barrera-Rosa is currently held at the Farmville Detention Center in Virginia awaiting extradition to face murder charges. His uncle faces accessory charges and remains detained in Maryland.
The case has reignited debates about immigration enforcement and public safety, with ICE stating the murder highlights the urgency to identify and remove “egregious illegal aliens.”
