Illya and Anastasia Strakhov performed a head balancing acrobatic act and shocked the judges and the audience to the edge. The judges were astonished by their performance and voted ‘yes,’ sending them to the quarter finals.
In the quarter finals, they pushed their act to new extremes with bowling balls and glass bottles, performing acrobatics to “Rebel Yell” by Billy Idol. But, they could not get selected to the semi final round.

Background
This amazing couple delivers unique duet performances that mixes handstands and pole acrobatics mixed with humor and great showmanship. Illya was born in Odessa in 1976 to a family of circus acrobats and tiger trainers, started practicing his skills at the age of six.
Ilya and Anastasia, have started performing together since 2015 as a couple. Ilya previously participated in the inaugural season of ‘Minuta Slavy‘ in 2011.
In 2019, the duo participated in Season 13 of ‘Das Supertalent‘.

Audition
The duo took the AGT 2024 stage synced to the song ‘what a man gotta do’ by Jonas Brothers and kept the judges and the audience on the edge with their performance. Sofia Vergara chimed in, saying, “That was the most fun thing I seen tonight.”
Illya performed a deadly act of head-balancing on a bawling ball and a bottle. After this head-balancing act, Simon Cowell exclaimed, “This is what I call a 10.”
All of the four judges voted unanimously for the act, granting Illya and Anastasia Strakhov the opportunity to advance to the next round.
Quarter-Final
Illya and Anastasia continued to push the limits of their balancing act in quarter finals. Performing to Billy Idol’s “Rebel Yell,” they executed daring stunts, including balancing on bowling balls and stacks of bottles and glasses, all while perched between glass planks.
Their high-risk routine, filled with tension and precision, kept the audience and judges on the edge of their seats. Heidi Klum was the only judge to give them a standing ovation, praising their ability to create suspense and excitement.
Sofia Vergara noted their passion and determination, while Simon Cowell expressed disappointment, feeling their act lacked the grandeur of a Vegas show.
Howie Mandel, however, defended them, insisting they had delivered a strong performance that night.
However, after these reactions, they could not move on to the semi finals.
