The Hakuna Matata Acrobats is a talented group of performers from Tanzania who made a sensational debut on America’s Got Talent Season 19. With their ages ranging from late teens to early twenties, they amazed the judges and audience with a stunning acrobatic performance that left everyone on the edge of their seats at the audition.


The Hakuna Matata Acrobats comes from Tanzania and this is their first time performing in America. Back home, they are well-known for their energetic and dangerous acrobatic acts that combine traditional Tanzanian elements with normal acrobatics.

Before AGT 2024, They perfromed in various competitions and shows to showcase their skills back then too. The group follows in the footsteps of the Ramadhani Brothers, winners of the first season of the ‘AGT Fantasy League’.

They are Managed by the same talent agency. Ramadhani Brothers set a high standard for acrobatic performances, inspiring the Hakuna Matata Acrobats to aim for higher targets and success

Hakuna Matata Biography 

The Hakuna Matata Acrobats are a dynamic group consisting of Ali, Michaela, and Aziz. Ali began his acrobatic journey at the age of 8 in Kenya, mastering East African style acrobatics before performing with Circus Vegas and Circus Gerbola in Ireland.

In 2007, he co-founded Hakuna Matata with Michaela, showcasing their skills at popular events like the Festival of Fools in Belfast and the Street Performance World Championship in Dublin.

What happened in America’s Got Talent?


During their AGT audition, the Hakuna Matata Acrobats performed a series of jaw-dropping stunts that included balancing on rollers, hand balancing, and forming human pyramids. Their final act was a three-tier stack on top of a rolla bolla. It made the audience and judges holding their breath.

The judges and the audience were very impressed although they seemed like failed in the begining of the act.

“Unbelievable. This is even taking everything you think is amazing…and tops it.”


Heidi said, “I was at the edge of my seat.” Sofia called it “heart-stopping” and “dangerous,” while Simon described it as “a step up” and praised the journey as much as the destination. The acrobats received four enthusiastic yeses to get selected to the next round.
