A disturbing new video from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, may shed light on Thursday’s tragic Air India crash that killed 241 people. The footage appears to show a dark object flying off the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner seconds before it slammed into the ground and burst into flames.
Investigators are analyzing the clip, with speculation growing that the object could have been an emergency door — possibly the one near the only known survivor, British national Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, 40.
Investigation in Full Swing
Authorities have launched a high-priority probe into the crash, focusing on potential failures involving the engine, landing gear, and wing flaps. India’s Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau confirmed that the aircraft’s black box — including the flight data and voice recorders — was recovered from a nearby rooftop.
Civil Aviation Minister Ram Mohan Naidu stated the investigation is progressing “with full force.”

Paul Fromme of the UK-based Institution of Mechanical Engineers noted the black box will be key:
“It should show quickly if there was a loss of engine power or lift after take-off,”
he said, adding it may lead to a preliminary cause being established soon.
