Why Conan O’Brien Got Fired 14 Years Ago?

O’Brien found himself unceremoniously removed from the late-night show over a decade ago. Courtesy of NBC executives’ decision to reinstate former host Jay Leno. Initially presented with the option to keep The Tonight Show name but with a new time slot at 12 am, O’Brien opted to decline the offer, leading to his departure from the network shortly thereafter.

In a bold move following his exit, O’Brien embarked on a stand-up comedy tour. Cheekily titled “The Legally Prohibited from Being Funny on Television Tour”. Serving as a pointed jab at the television executives who had shown him the door.
