8 year old Ravi who has a brain tumor won the Alesha’s Golden Buzzer for act of his team and they reached semi-finals in BGT 2024. Ravi entered the stage with a huge group of choirs including his parents, sister and some others. He has a pleasant smile and courage. These group members were not the same age but they behaved very well with the judges specially Ravi’s sister. They were called as Ravi’s Dream Team and eventually they had the Golden Buzzer from Alesha.

Ravi Adelekan is from Brighton. He appeared on BGT 2024 with his lovely parents and his younger sister Maya. Ravi relearned to walk and feed himself after doctors were unable to remove all of the tumor from his brain. Despite 10 hours of surgery, doctors were not able to remove the whole tumor and Ravi lives with its effects every day. In June 2023, this kid won gold at the More Radio Child of Sussex Awards and continues to receive well earned recognition from near and far for his amazing fundraising efforts.

What happened in Britain’s Got Talent?
Audition
Ravi’s Dream Team participated in the Britain Got Talent season 17 episode 2 which aired on the 21st of April.
Ravi entered the stage with a number of members of his choir that was called as Ravi’s Dream Team. All the judges were excited about that incident. He was with his father at the beginning and also his mother was there. Ravi’s 5 year old sister, Maya was with the mic and she said to his father that “they are smiling”.
Ravi started introducing his team to Simon. He asked Ravi why they were there and Ravi answered, “I watched BGT all my life and always wanted to audition”. Then he said, “2 years ago I was diagnosed with a brain tumor and I’m here to show no matter what life there is you can still achieve your dreams”.
Ravi was there with his family, group of his friends, teachers from school and some medical professionals who have helped Ravi during his diagnosis. Also there were some other amazing children from the brain shiming community.
After that Ravi’s Dream Team started their audition. It was ‘Million Dreams’. That was effortless and sensitive. At once Alesha offered her Golden Buzzer to this Dream Team. It was too quick and Ravi’s Dream Team couldn’t realize it.

Ravi’s dream team auditioned in the second episode of BGT 2024. They impressed the judges and audience with their performance. They received Alesha’s golden buzzer and moved on to the semi-finals. Haribow and Ravi’s dream team were equal according to the judge’s votes, but according to the public vote, Haribow got the highest vote and moved to the finals. Unfortunately, Ravi’s dream team was eliminated in the semi-finals.
