Nini is a 28-year-old musician from Taiwan. She took the America’s Got Talent stage by her amazing Chinese accents. During her audition, she showcased her unique talent by playing three traditional Chinese instruments, earning all yes votes from the judges and securing her spot in the next round.

In the quarterfinals, she continued to impress with a folk metal version of Antonio Vivaldi’s “Summer” and Johann Sebastian Bach’s “Toccata and Fugue in D Minor.”

However, despite her electrifying performance, NiNi did not make it to the next round.

Background

Nini comes from Yuanlin City in Changhua County, Taiwan. She began her musical journey at the age of seven by studying traditional Chinese instruments at the Conservatorium of Tainan National University of the Arts.

She can play different Chinese Traditional Instruments including Zhong Ruan, Liuqin, San Xian, and Pipa. Before her AGT performance, Nini has shared her music across Europe, the USA, Canada, China, Japan, and Taiwan. She has also worked as a music instructor on Liuqiu Island.

Audition

Nini’s audition was nothing short of amazing. She started with a soothing tune on her first instrument to drag the attention of both the judges and the audience.

As she transitioned to her second instrument, the tempo picked up, and the judges’ initial impression turned into admiration. When Nini played her third instrument, performing a stunning performance of “Flight of the Bumblebee,” the crowd shouted in cheers.

NiNi continued to captivate the audience with her unique blend of folk metal in the AGT quarterfinals.
