Before the start of World War I in 1914, British soldier Private Thomas Hughes sat down and wrote a tender love letter to his wife, Elizabeth. Not knowing what his eventual fate would be, Hughes placed the letter in a bottle and cast it into the English Channel, hoping it reached his wife. Sadly, ju
