The Oscars Host Jimmy Kimmel, took a surprising jab at first-time Oscar winner Robert Downey Jr. delving into the his troubled past "This is the highest point of Robert Downey Jr.'s long and illustrious career — well, one of the highest points," Kimmel said, referencing the actor's sobriety after he previously struggled with substance abuse.
When the camera cut to Downey, he put his finger on his nose while his Oppenheimer costar Emily Blunt laughed and patted him on the shoulders.
Then Jimmy went at it again, asking, "Is that too on-the-nose, or is that a drug motion you're making?" then Downey replied saying "Keep it going, while makeing a rolling motion with his fingers. It was unclear whether if Downey was just playing along with the joke or not.
